What is Black Friday?
Originally Black Friday was an informal name used to describe the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. Stores would close early on Thanksgiving Day due to poor sales and would then open at midnight offering deep discounts on popular items such as gaming, appliances, clothing, toys, and electronics. Black Friday soon became one of the busiest shopping days of the year because it kicked off the holiday season and would then continue throughout the weekend.
