Bed Sheets for Every Season
Whether you have a single, double, queen, king or even super king bed, you can explore bed sheets that feel like they were custom-made to fit your mattress. Queen bed sheets remain the household favourite, while king single sizes have kids' beds and bunks sorted too. Breathable cotton sheets are the year-round go-to, growing softer with every wash, while linen sheets and linen-cotton blends bring relaxed texture and extra airflow for warm sleepers. From fitted sheets and flat sheets to sheet sets, you can curate the perfect bedding setup at Target Australia.
The Perfect Pillowcase to Match
Got the perfect new bed sheets? Rest your head on the perfect pillowcase to match. Made from soft Egyptian cotton and Australian cotton, our pillowcases cater for every type of pillow including classic pillows, European pillows, posture pillows and more; so you can sleep in comfort and style every night. Mixing a patterned pillowcase with plain sheets is also one of the simplest ways to refresh your bed linen between seasons.
Complete the Bed
Once the sheets and pillowcases are sorted, the rest of the bed deserves the same attention. Layer a quilt cover over a quilt that suits the season, then finish with a blanket or throw draped at the end of the bed. A mattress protector underneath it all keeps everything fresher for longer, and building the bed as a whole means every piece works together for that styled, put-together look.

Sheets & Pillowcases FAQs
What does thread count mean for sheets?
The thread count of sheets helps you to evaluate the quality of the fabric itself. The term "thread count" refers to the number of horizontal and vertical threads woven into a square inch of the fabric. This means that the higher the thread count of your bed sheets, the smoother and denser the fabric will be, such as our 400 thread count sheets. While this helps you to make a decision, it's not the only factor indicating quality; the fibre type, weave and fabric can also help to determine which bed sheets are the best fit for you.
How often should you wash your bed sheets?
It is recommended to wash your bed sheets every 1-2 weeks for a hygienic sleep environment. However, you may need to wash your sheets more frequently if you have allergies, sensitive skin, sleep with pets or sweat excessively during the night. This is because as you sleep your bed sheets will pick up natural oils, bacteria and other particles, so it's important to keep your bed sheets regularly washed and fresh.
What is the best pillowcase for acne?
The best pillowcase fabrics for acne-prone skin include silk, satin and clean cotton, as they are less absorbent and irritating on your skin. Pillowcases are known to be natural breeding grounds for dirt and bacteria growth, which can become a common cause of facial acne when not washed frequently. Along with regular washing, pillowcases featuring these natural fibres are another way to minimise any reactions on your skin.
How often should you change your pillowcase?
It is recommended that you ideally change your pillowcase every 2 to 3 days, especially if you have acne-prone or oily skin. Your pillowcase absorbs sweat, oil, makeup and hair residue through the night, which is why it's important to frequently change and wash your pillowcase to avoid any build up.
Do you actually need a flat sheet?
Ah, the great top sheet debate. A flat sheet adds a light, easily washed layer between you and your quilt cover, which means less frequent washing of the bulky stuff, and on hot summer nights it can be your only cover. Plenty of sleepers happily go without, so there's no wrong answer, just strong opinions at both ends of the bed.
