Factory List

Our Factory List includes:

  • All factories that produce our own brand apparel and general merchandise finished products.
  • All processing facilities used by our suppliers in the production of our own brand clothing, towel and bedding ranges.
  • Cellulose raw material suppliers accounting for approximately 65% of own brand clothing products containing cellulose fabrics (viscose, modal and lyocell).

The factory list is updated every six months and was last updated in August 2024. We also contribute to the Open Supply Hub and our factory list can be located here.

Our apparel factory list includes information on facility address, OS ID, country, factory type, product type, employee numbers and gender breakdown, digital payment, audit program or certificate, length of business, as well as the existence of trade unions** (names of unions added where available) and independent worker committees where this information has been verified (primarily for factories under the Better Work program).

Please note that Kmart does not own or operate these factories and this data is derived from our suppliers and third-party assessment. Any party wishing to visit a factory should contact the factory directly for permission, and respect local laws and customs around privacy and site access.

All final factories listed have been independently audited in the past 24 months. Our processing facility list and cellulose raw material supplier list draws on the latest information shared by suppliers and in accordance with our Ethical Sourcing Transparency Policy.

*When we use the term ‘own brand’ we mean the brands we own, which excludes the brands owned by other companies, such as licensed and international brands. Own brand products account for the most significant part of our apparel supply chain.

**We define second-tier processing facilities as spinning mills, fabric mills, laundries, dying and printing facilities.

***We currently have 18 factories and mills that are verified as having trade unions and where there is CBA available 100% workers are covered by the CBA.
