Frequently Asked Questions

This is a new way of applying for a Customer Service Assistant job with Target. With our Target Talent Profiles you set up one profile with information about your skills and experience, as well as shift availability.

Basically, this portal is a place for you to fill in all those tedious application forms just once (so you're not having to do it over and over, every time you apply for a job) and manage your own data - so if your contact details change, you can make sure the Talent Acquisition Team have up to date ways to get in touch. Over time, we'll add more features to your applicant profile that'll let you showcase a bit more of what makes you special, and further develop the key skills that'll increase your shot at landing your dream role.

Anything you add to the "My Details" form and the "Skills and Values" quiz will be visible to Target’s Talent Acquisition Team. They can't log into your profile, but if they register a job that fits your criteria, your information will be submitted (alongside any other people who also fit the same criteria) to them for consideration.

Over the coming months, Weirdly will be adding new features to your profile that'll let you personalise further and share more about yourself. Some of this stuff may be visible to recruiters, some may be private to you, and some might be visible only when and where you decide to release it. Whatever happens, we'll let you know who can see it, and what it's for each time we release a new feature, so you can decide what you feel comfortable sharing.

If you want to change your details – you have the power! You can log in at any point to amend or update your information. You'll notice we're adding new features that'll help you add to your profile periodically - so keep your eyes peeled!

You can delete your details at anytime. Say you land your dream job and don't want to be considered for any new roles, you can delete your profile completely. Just login to your profile at any time and hit the delete button. This will remove you completely from the entire talent pool, it might be a good idea to take a second to make sure you're sure. If you just want to be removed from consideration for a particular region, you can change that setting in your details info and stay in the Talent Community.

You can log in at anytime to check this yourself. Basically, if you've completed your registration, your profile is in the pool and will be added to any recruitment searches that match the criteria you've determined (along with any other people with similar criteria details). You can update or delete your profile at any point.

I’m experiencing Technical issues with my Talent Profile

Do a quick check to make sure you've filled in all the required fields including uploading a photo/video/resume (where requested) and ticked the check-boxes for privacy policy etc.

If that's all done, we may need to do some deeper trouble-shooting for you. You should see a little speech bubble icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen. Click on there and tell us what's happening including: Any error messages you're seeing, the name of the browser you're using (chrome, safari, internet explorer etc.), and what kind of device you're on. We'll try and re-create the problem at our end so we can see what's happening!

Your video file may be too big. Another common issue is if you've accidentally denied access to your camera or microphone - if this happens, you'll need to jump into your device's settings to allow access.

We may come back to you with a few more specific questions to help us re-create the problem and find out what's happening!

First things first, double-check your internet connection is working. Next, you need to make sure you've selected an answer before you can move on. With a slider, this means moving the toggle. For a dropdown question, make sure you've clicked on one of the options. If both those things look good, we'll need more info to help you out.

Double-check the email address you've submitted - our system runs a check to make sure we can send an email through to that address so if you've left off a full stop or got your .com's confused with your .com.au's, the save for later function won't work.

First off, make sure you're internet connection is ok, and that you're using the correct login and password - sometimes it's the simple answer!

No problem! You'll see on the login page a "forgot password" link you can click. Just follow the instructions and we'll step you through getting logged back in.
