The 2016 Glastonbury Festival kicked off late last week, bringing our favourite front row fixtures- think Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Cressida Bonas and Suki Waterhouse- to the muddy meadows of Somerset for a showcase featuring performances by Florence and the Machine, Kanye West, Patti Smith, and our very own, Chet Faker. Listening to laid-back tunes and drinking until well after sunset calls for a low-maintenance beauty and style mantra, which our favourite It-Brit's adopted with ease.
With her artfully unkempt tresses and barely-there beauty look, Alexa Chung is the perfect poster girl for festival attire. Chung swapped her signature denim cut-offs for a shiny gold dress that looked fancier than what she usually dons down the red carpet. Interesting style choice, Chung! Of course, she teamed the shimmering number with a denim jacket and a pair of mud-covered Hunter wellies, which meant it wasn't all glam for her day at Glastonbury!
With her rainbow-coloured fringed jacket, Suki Waterhouse certainly had no plans to slip under the radar. The Insurgent star rocked about five festival trends all at once: denim shorts, aviator frames, a bandana, sneakers and gypsy jewellery. We're just not too sure about those soccer socks, Suki? As for her hair and makeup, it was all about a natural complexion, followed by humidity-enhanced locks.
Opting to bare a little skin, Daisy Lowe rocked a plunging jumpsuit during day two of the festival. She stayed cosy however in a long faux fur purple coat, and completed the look with a pair of practical boots.
To bring warmth to your nude complexion, apply cream blush to the apples of your cheeks. Then set your base with a dusting of translucent powder to keep everything in place.
Ready for bed, Cressida? Dressed in a pyjama-style matching shorts and crop top, actress and Prince Harry's bohemian ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, looked oh-so-cute! The It-girl let her blonde tresses sit casually across her shoulders and added a dose of tomgirl personality with her backwards denim cap.
