Competition Terms (Game of Skill)

Information on how to enter the competition and information about the prizes form part of these terms.  By entering the competition, you accept these terms.

Eligibility

1       To be eligible to enter, you must:

(a) be an Australian resident;

(b) be 18 years of age and over; and

(c) not be our employee or an immediate family member of our employee (or an employee of an agency associated with the competition).

2        Entry is free.

3        We may (in our absolute discretion):

(a) verify entrant’s identity, age and the validity of entry;

(b) disqualify entrants who submit an entry that is not in accordance with these terms or who tampers with the entry process;

(c) disqualify entrants who enter using multiple aliases;

(d) accept entries that contain errors or omissions; and

(e) deem incomplete, plagarised, defamatory or indecipherable entries invalid.

Entering

4        To enter the competition:

(a)  This competition is open to ‘You Take Care’ book signing registries. To be eligible, scan the QR code at the sign in desk on the day of the book signing (Saturday 1st April), enter your details and tell us in 25 words or less what is your favourite way to ‘take care’ of yourself.

5        Entries must be received between 12:01AM (AEST) on [01/04/2023] and 11:59PM (AEST) on [01/04/2023] Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by us (and not at the time you submit the entry).

6        Entries are limited to 1 entry per person.

Selecting a winner

7        We will select 5 winners at 9:00AM (AEST) on [03/04/23] at 2 Kendall St, Williams Landing VIC 3027.

8        The competition is based on a game of skill. The winner will be selected from the pool of eligible entries by two team members of the Target Marketing Team, which comply with these terms and demonstrate creativity and originality (as determined by us in our absolute discretion).

9        The winner will be notified and awarded the prize by email or mobile by 12:00PM (AEST) on [05/04/23].

Awarding the prize

10        The prize comprises of the following:

(a) Win 1 of 5x Keep it Cleaner x Target Prize packs to the value of $480 each.

(b) Each prize pack consists of 1x Annual KIC subscription, 1x KIC Groceries pack to the value of $100, 1x KIC Booty band & 1x Target voucher to the value of $250.00.

11        The prize is valued at up to $[480] (including GST).

12        The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.  If the prize is not available, we may (in our absolute discretion) substitute the prize for another item of equal or higher value as determined by us (in our absolute discretion).

13        Upon the winner claiming their prize, we will provide all relevant information regarding his or her prize.  If the winner is not able to participate in or accept any part of the prize, the prize will be forfeited.

Changing the competition

14        If the competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of misdirected entries, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond our control, we may (in our absolute discretion) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or invalidate any affected entries.

Liability

15        We (and our officers, employees and agents) are not liable for any loss, expense, damage or liability suffered or incurred by you in connection with the competition, including:

(a) any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or misdirected entries;

(b) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction;

(c) any theft, unauthorised access or interference by another person;

(d) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected;

(e) any variation in prize value to that stated in these terms;

(f) any tax liability incurred by you;

(g) use of, or taking of, a prize; or

(h) participation in the competition.

16        Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees or implied warranties under the Competition and Consumer Act 2013 or similar state legislation.

Privacy

17       

(a) Any personal information provided by entrants to this competition will be dealt with by Target in accordance with Target’s Privacy Policy.

(b) When you enter this competition, we will collect your personal information via our trusted third party provider, including your name, email address and phone number.

(c) Entrants’ personal information will be used for the purpose of conducting the competition, redeeming the prizes, and any other matter connected with, or incident to, the competition.

Right to use name and likeness

18        If you are selected as the winner, you grant us the right to use (and to license others to use) your name and likeness to market and promote the competition, us or our business, without royalty, payment or other compensation.
