Target continues to look at ways to reduce our carbon footprint by investing in the reduction of energy consumption across our sites.We have developed an energy and sustainability strategic action program which includes audits of energy use at our highest energy consuming stores and followed up with remedial works. We have developed new lighting design standards featuring high efficiency LED fittings, improvements to building management systems to better control our air-conditioning, lighting and equipment usage. Such activities are being supported by the installation of interval data meters across our stores to assist with monitoring, measuring and managing consumption.
